Stanley

"Stanley" is an 18m high emu statue built from scrap metal situated on the Castlereagh Highway 5kms south of Lightning Ridge (brainchild of local artist John Murray and Tim Parsons).

PW Concrete & Gravel heard about the project when it was just in the ideas stage - and they immediately volunteered their assistance (in the form of manpower, concrete, site for building and machinery hire). The project was years in the making, however was only possible due to the support of the Lightning Ridge community - it was a proud moment for PW Concrete & Gravel and all involved when Stanley was finally concreted in place.
